Tuesday night I found Thumper on the floor on the backside of my bed....paralyzed with his back legs.  Wednesday the doctor tried steroids to reverse the damage, but since an xray showed no damage to the spinal chord, she believes a blood clot had gone to his spine.  I had to say farewell to a young cat (5) I had not had for two years yet.   I got him and his brother Humpty Dumpty from a couple at my former church.  Their little girls had named them.  I loved him soooo much.  He will be so greatly missed.  (The same thing happened back in October 1990 to a twelve year-old I had, Fluffy Marie.)

These are the best pics I have been able to take of his thumbs.  I'm a proud cat servant.  My kids at school call him "deformed," but he is NOT; he is unique and special.  Because he is so large, one would expect him to perhaps be aggressive, but other than his rivalry with Miles, he is very laid-back.  He doesn't even meow.  In fact, of all my *6* cats, only Lovey talks.  Everyone else except Snowflake growls (She does nothing vocal!), so it's a pretty quiet bunch.  Even when begging for food, they just run to their bowls, sit, and stare.

Buddy got married last Sunday.  I went to my parents' house in a nearby town to pick Matthew  up.  After we left Walmart, stupid me decided to go to Petco.  I had never been in there before.  Angel was in a cage and the lady started talking to me about her.  I said, "No, I have 6 cats and a dog now."  We left, went back to said parents' house, and I proceded to think about Angel's pitiful eyes.  The rest is history............

School ,Cats, and The Dog

So today (Monday) I am officially back at work for the new school year. I already have my Cats on Tuesday post ready to post tonight. Snowflake will be the star of the show. In the meantime, the second-class citizen, The Dog, a.k.a, Buddy, is feeling left out. So, here are some shots of Buddy. He is NOT supposed to be on the couch without his blankie spread out!

A few weeks ago when she did this, I chalked it up to youthful exuberance. BUT, Friday morning I was at the computer for an hour reading the news and having my coffee. I noticed Minnie was no where to be seen. She was busy in my bathroom.
