I have always kept all of my cats indoors; I would worry myself to death if they are outside. As a result, they have lived long lives, most making it to 17-20. Snowflake and Minnie came from the shelter back in February after I had to put down my 20 year-old. Snowflake was found on the YWCA bus. I suppose she is thinking what she would do if she could get outside. Minnie was at the shelter for 3 months, but I don't know her past.

Nice to see you on Cats on Tuesday ! Snowflake looks so very much like my Arthur. My cats always went in and out as they wanted to and they all were 20 when they died. It depends where you live. We live in a very quite place, cars only in the morning and evening when people go or come home from work and lots of gardens and little woods around. There is no danger. Besides some cats just can't be inside cats only. My son had to give us his two cats because he moved into an appartment and one just refused to eat and got so depressed that he was afraid she let herself die. So we inherited Kim. For two years each time our son came for a visit, she disappeared until he was gone. She was so afraid that she had to go back into the appartment, lol!
ReplyDeleteI think Snowflake would go for an outdoor exercise, coming from the YWCA, lol! My cat is only indoor, since she learned her lesson being locked out after sneaking. Got a lot to learn about cats, its three months since the rescue. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMine come and go as they please. We live in a dead end road and it's fairly quiet.
ReplyDeleteBTW did you know it was World Cat Day on August 8th? I didn't until I read it on some other blogs. I'll be posting that day. You too?
Welcome to COT!
ReplyDeleteYour cats looks beautiful!
Our cats go out every day. Luzie was a straycat once and she never lived really in a house. Luna want to go out when she saw Luzie outside . She is our hunteress and Olli only walk around the house and come back in.
Gattina is right, there are some cats which never can stay in a house but there are also cats which don´t want to go out.
Have a great day!
This is my first Cats on Tuesday. Love your felines. There is something about black and white cats I can't resist, but your white one is gorgeous! White cats look innocent, I know better though. My cats stay in as we live on a major highway and have too many coyotes around. Have a good day.

Snowflake is beautiful! I think its safer to keep them indoor, unless they are used to outdoor life. Only one of my cats wanders outdoor, and that's because he always come home and not too friendly with starngers. They rest, home bound.
ReplyDeleteYour cats are beautiful. Snowflake looks like my Marshmellow. My cats are kept inside too. I believe they live much longer if kept inside. I do have one cat who was abandoned 16 years ago. She won't come inside and is only trusting of myself and husband. She lives on my patio. If she were to wander to the front she would be hit by a car. I have tried many times to bring her in but she is just to fearful.
ReplyDeleteSometime I will post a picture of my cat who lived to be 21. He died in 2001.
