Show and Tell
Cindy is hosting Show and Tell again; go on over and see what she has in store.
My show and tell this week is this bedspread I crocheted over 20 years ago. I suppose I was in college or had just graduated. Those are great memories.
I hope you enjoyed your visit. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
P.S. Anni requested a picture of my Bob Crachitt and Tiny Tim, so I am adding that. This is not a great picture, but they are to the right of the Claus's.
Hi and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bedspread and keepsake!
Love this, as I love to crochet myself!!! That was one huge project....and it turned out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteMy show n tell is just catching up more or less, from the 2 week bloggin' hiatus. HERE
HAPPY 2010!!
PS.....some day, won't you please post about the Bob Crachitt animated figure? I'd love to see it, 'cause A CHRISTMAS CAROL is one of my all time favorites.
ReplyDeleteFANtastic!!! How awesome is that?!!! I'm so envious.
ReplyDelete[thanks for the search for it...I appreciate it]
Well done!

What a great afghan/bedspread. They are always so warm. I had a few made for me- I do not crochet or knit, so I paid a co-worker to make them. My oldest one was made in the mid-seventies! wowie, that is old. Thanks for showing yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Ginger! Your Afghan looks so warm & cozy! I can tell a lot of work & love went into the making of it! I have one very similar that my Great Aunt made for me... I cherish it!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you & your Family in The New Year! ~ Teresa
I just love your spread and the memories it holds!
ReplyDeleteDid you ever think the style and pattern would be so very popular today? One of my favs!
Stop by...
love, kelee
This is wonderful! Mu husband and I received a hand crocheted blanket as a wedding gift and 8 years later we still love it! What a great way to preserve a memory. Happy New Years and Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteHi...thanks for coming by and visiting me this Happy New Years day. I crochet an afghan once!! So I can appreciate all the work involved!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bedspread!! I crochet too, but have never made a bedspread; mostly just afghans. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt still looks as if you had made it yesterday ! Beautiful !
ReplyDeleteYour vet is very expensive for his "babysitting" I think it would be cheaper to have somebody in the house who can watch over the little pet family. That's what some of my friends do.
I'm always amazing that people can make these wonderful things. I would love to learn to crochet but it's taken me years to learn to knit just a rectangular shape! I'll just have to admire the work of others from afar :(
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year...Kathy
It is lovely to have special treasures like this around your home that have a story and meaning behind them, or in this case woven in the fabric.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a lot of work you put into that! It looks great! Thanks for sharing it on Show and Tell!!
