Recycle

I try to recycle whenever I can: cardboard, plastic, glass all in separate containers to go to the dump. I have bought a TON of berries in the last few months and can not stand the thought of putting these plastic containers in the dump. So, I had two bright ideas:

  • I use a bunch at school to hold crayons.

  • I use these at home to start seeds in for my garden.

Progress

We are making progress. My kitchen will be finished on Saturday.

Time to Renew (Or Reface, as the term goes)

All I can say is "Yuck, Yuck, and Yuck!" My kitchen is literally falling apart. The drawer front in the one picture has been missing for over a year. Dad and I tried nailing, glue-gunning, Gorilla-glueing....you name it, we tried it; nothing would hold the front on. In the bottom picuture you can see the door hanging, and in the picture with the two drawers, the top one was hanging since last summer. Last week it fell in for good. Friday the cabinet installer comes to reface by cabinets. I can't wait. I will post "after pictures" when he's done.

Time to pack

You may wonder what all this means. Read the next post to find out.

Free at WAGS

I used some of my WAGS gift card to get this as well as a $2.00 Splenda coupon and a $3.50 Register Reward. I love FREE! Thanks to Monica http://thehomespunheart.blogspot.com/ for getting me started with Walgreens and CVS!

Paint Job

I forgot to take before pictures, but this is what I've been doing the last few days...painting the front door and shutters. Look at the garage door in the first picture and you can see how BLAH the house was beginning to look with the faded gray. I've lived here almost 7 years and never painted it.

CVS Deals

This represents about $50 worth of products. They were all on sale for $34 before ECBS and coupons. I ended up paying $7.83 for these. I actually had a problem with the Softsoap Body Wash on the far left. It was supposed to print an ECB for $4.99. It didn't nor did it ring up at the sale price of $4.99. The manager told me I had to buy two to get it; I did not argue with her but asked for my money back. When I went to my car to look at the receipt, she came out to my car and apologized. She admitted she was wrong and would I come back in to get my ECBS. She had to ring it up at the sale price AND she had to ring up the $4.99 ECB herself because the register would do neither. I am so blessed that she was working because not all the workers at my CVS are nice; the others would not have done that. So, in the end I earned about $12 in ECBS.

Bi-Lo STEAL for .15

I wish I could shop like this all the time: .15 for all of this! Back in the winter Walgreens had a rebate on Olay Beauty Cleanser where the rebate was a $15 gift card in the form of a Mastercard. I used it today along with a .75 Breyers coupon.

WAGS Deals

I made a trip to Walgreens yesterday and these were my deals: I paid $2.85 for items above. I used two RR and one manufacturer's coupon stacked with a WAGS coupon.
I went back and used the RR I earned on the Colgate above to get the toilet paper in the second picture for .58. This is the kind of "deal" I love.
