WAGS Dirt-Cheap

I don't like paying full price on anything, but *especially* on cleaning products and toiletries.  My son has to use Head and Shoulders shampoo; it is usually very expensive.  Here is the deal I snagged at Walgreens todsay:

Buy 2 for $7.  I had a $2 coupon and $2.14 on a gift card (from a register reward deal gone bad earlier in the week; the manager insisted on putting the RR on a gift card when it wouldn't print).  That brought the 2 Head and Shoulders down to $2.86 plus tax.  I paid $3.36 (tax on the $7).  Then, it printed out the $2 RR, so I got 2 Head and Shoulders for $1.36, or .68 each!

FREE @Walgreens

This has been a fantastic weekend for me for freebies.  At Walgreens this week these are FREE in the return of Register Rewards.  I paid just over $20 for these and got back $19 in Register Rewards.

Steals at Walgreens

I was in Walgreens when they opened this morning.  When I checked out, the cashier said I was stealing.  This kind of stealing makes my day:

1.11:  Cereal was 2/$5: I had 4 $1.50 coupons; the tomato sauce was 3 for 1.00; I had a 1.00 off of 3 coupon, and the eggs were .99.  I also used a $4 Register Reward

I went back after church for my 2nd transaction.

I love these Bounce dryer balls; my first is still in the dryer after 2 months.  I would never pay full price.  BUT, I would pay .82 each (plus tax) for each!  They are $3.99 at WAGS this week.  I bought 3, used 3 $1.50 coupons and a $2.50 Register Reward I had.  Then, when I paid for these, I got another $2.50 Register Reward, making them .82 each plus tax. 

Sunday Savings

I like to go to the stores on Sunday to get the good sales before everything is gone. Today I made two runs to Walgreens, one before church and one after. Here was one transaction: The advertised savings were $6, and I used $7.20 in coupons for a total savings of $13.20 OOP I paid $4.92. How did I get all of this for that? Here is the breakdown:
Ragu: 4 @ $2 each = $8.00
Skippy: 2 @ $2 each= $4.00
Coupons used: RR for $5.00
Skippy .60
Ragu .60
Ragu 1.00
Total OOP: $4.92 PLUS I EARNED A REGISTER REWARD FOR $6.00!!

Here is the second transaction:

2 Cheez-Its: $1.00 each= $2.00

Coupons used: $1.00 Cheez-It

OOP: $6.80 PLUS I EARNED THE $5.00 REGISTER REWARD I USED ABOVE.

So, I got all of the above for $11.72 OOP. Plus, I still have the $6 Register Reward. When I left the second time, the cashier said she'd see me when I plotted my next strategy.

You might think this is all we eat, but I have a freezer full of frozen fruit for smoothies, chicken, waffles, and leftovers. I have plenty of canned veggies, and I go to the farmer's market once a week for fresh veggies. Obviously I am just highlighting major purchases here. Since peanut butter and pasta sauce is something I use a lot of, I believe in stockpiling when it is on sale.

$1.96 at CVS and WAGS

CVS and WAGS have some great deals this week. Here is what I got for a total of $1.96: $1.74 at WAGS and $.22 at CVS. Here is the breakdown:

WAGS: 6 packs of mechanical pencils for $.19 each and one pack of highliters for $.49. Total with tax: $1.74

CVS: I used $9.75 in coupons and ECBS, paid OOP $.22 and got back almost $9 in ECBS. Items: 2 packs of lined paper, one pack of pencils, one pack of Duracell batteries, and one pack of liners.

This Week's Deals

Today I went to snag some deals that were expiring at CVS and WAGS. First, CVS in the top picture. I got the canvas grocery bag and the severe acne treatment for $2.50! When I first bought the acne treatment for my son, I hesitated because it was $29.99 at both stores. However, it worked! While he is not out of his yet, I think ahead. CVS had a deal this week where if you bought $20 worth of that skin care line, you got a $10 ECB. The total was almost $32. With my ECBs, it came down to $12.50. I got the $10 ECB; thus, the total was $2.50.

On to WAGS. I have a $10 rebate card offer for spending $20 worth of the Swiffer refill products. This week WAGS had a deal where you got a $6 Register Reward for spending $25 on these products. The total before my coupons and RR was over $26. I had enough Register Rewards and coupons to bring it down to $16.50. THEN, I received the $6 RR, bringing it down to $10.50. Now I'll send off for the $10 gift card and will have spent $.50. Some people would not spend this out of pocket, but I look at the long haul.

Free at WAGS

WAGS Deals

I made a trip to Walgreens yesterday and these were my deals: I paid $2.85 for items above. I used two RR and one manufacturer's coupon stacked with a WAGS coupon.

I went back and used the RR I earned on the Colgate above to get the toilet paper in the second picture for .58. This is the kind of "deal" I love.

What could be better than FREE? I got all of this at Walgreens for nothing! I had a gift card and I used $8.99 in coupons. Another good thing is that I still have $1.50 on the gift card, and I will get a $1.00 rebate on both the Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Gel and the Drano! It's a money-maker!

WAGS

Then I went to WAGS and got all this for $13.59, $8.59 if you want to deduct the $5 RR I earned. I had 2 $1.00 internet coupons to use on the detergents, and a $2.00 coupon to use on the shampoo and conditioner.

More Deals at CVS/Walgreens

Now, here is another great deal from CVS: I got 4 Febreze and 2 packs of gum (for the son). I used over $11 in ECBs and 2 manufacturer's coupons. My OOP was $.08! That's worth getting excited about....plus I earned $6 more in ECBs.

Savings at WAGS

Now, on to Walgreens. There are some things I just can't stand paying money for: toilet paper is one. I had $5.65 left on a gift card, and spent $2.07 for this (The candy is for two students.)

Freebies at WAGS

I just love a good deal. I had a $35 gift card at Walgreens that was just refilled. Here is what I got for NOTHING:

I actually went to both stores in town. I got $3 in Register Rewards at the first one for the Chemistry, but I went to the other store looking for the baking products. I still have about $16 on my gift card.
