Garden Update

Lettuce and beans are coming up. I can't wait until next weekend as that will start my 2 week spring break when I can devote more time to the garden.

Deals, Deals, Deals at WAGS and CVS

At WAGS I paid $34 for $64 worth of merchandise. HOWEVER, I would never pay that amount, $34, without getting more FREE stuff. I got back about $20 in Register Rewards. So....It's like really paying $14 for all of that stuff.
In this stash from CVS, I paid the lady $1.79 but got back an ECB for $1.99......so, all this was FREE, too.

Minnie and Snowflake

Who says pets need fancy toys? In the middle picture, Snowflake has recycled the packing envelope from Australia. She thought it made a perfect tent.
In the bottom picture, they are looking out the French doors, and in the top, Minnie has stolen my computer chair.

Freebies at CVS

Every time I snag freebies at CVS, I think of my blogging friend Lisa from Australia. I think she believes we Americans are crazy about our deals. All this cost over $52, but with manufacturers' coupons and CVS ECBS, I paid $15.00. BUT, I got back $23 in ECBS I know I will use and I also got about $15 more that I might use. Either way, that means this was FREE!!

Clean Swap

After experiencing problems with my postal delivery again, I tracked the package Lisa sent me from Australia and found it was sitting in my post office. Here is what she sent:
Espresso
Chocolate
Cleaning Gloves
A book on cleaning your house in 15 minutes a day (I'll read that right before spring break.)
Postcard and magnet from Australia
A beautiful apron with my name embroidered in it
Pledge wipes and lemon soap
And a gorgeous Australian animal cloth. I'm seeing a wooden dowl sewed onto the top with a cord to hang it.
Thanks, Lisa! Everything is wonderful; I really love the apron and the Australian animal print.
The packaging even matches my living room/dining room colors---burgundy and hunter green. I'm saving them and the twine for re-packaging.

Spring is Sprung

Saturday brought warm temperatures, as near 80. I had lunch with a friend and then we went to Lowe's, ostensibly for her to purchase a lamp. Well, I had a field day in the herb and vegetable department. Here are the plants I bought (I'm not even showing the seeds.) I bought a strawberry plant and will go back for a blueberry plant. I have 2 types of lettuce, thyme, rosemary, arugula, and broccoli. I had excellent results with the herbs last summer, so I hope all of these will do well.
Is anyone else planting yet? What grows where you are?

FREE! at Walgreens

What could be better than FREE? I got all of this at Walgreens for nothing! I had a gift card and I used $8.99 in coupons. Another good thing is that I still have $1.50 on the gift card, and I will get a $1.00 rebate on both the Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Gel and the Drano! It's a money-maker!

Surprise, Surprise!

I almost fainted last weekend when my soon-to-be fifteen year-old not only washed his clothes, but did more than pile them on his bed. He actually neatly folded them in piles. I told him I had to take a picture.

Newest Treasure

My friend Monica over at thehomespunheart.blogspot.com is such a crafty person. I picked this up from her today. She will be having a sale on Monday, so go to her blog to check it out at noon.
It is perfect in my bathroom.

Blog Swap!

Monica over at The Homespun Heart and her sister Carrie at With All I've Been Given have hosted another swap; this time it was The Clean Sweep Swap. I paired with Lisa from Australia. We had so much in common; I had a great time picking things for her. Here is what I sent. I hope she enjoys them.

Meet...The Newest Additions

Meet Minnie and Snowflake, our newest additions. The day after I lost Baby, I decided the best way to honor her memory was to go back to her roots, the local animal shelter, and give 2 other cats a home. I fostered them for the last week, and yesterday they officially became mine. Minnie, in the top picture, is about 1-1.5 years old and it shows. She is full of energy. Snowflake is about 4 or 5 and partially deaf. She also has one green eye and one blue eye. They are both cuddlers.
