Happy Birthday, America!
I wonder what Washington, Henry, Paine, Hamilton, and Franklin (to name a few) would think of how we have evolved as a nation on this, our nation's 233rd birthday. We have much to be proud of:
- ending slavery
- expansion of the nation
- women's rights and civil rights
- putting the first man on the moon
- spreading our democratic ideals
But, we have much to be ashamed of:
- abortion
- turning our backs on God
- perpetuating gay rights

Don't know if you have already left for the aquarium but...... there are some really good fireworks in Mt. Pleasant tonight off of the Yorktown which you can see from there. Also, if you drive over to Patriots Point, over the bridge, they are having a big celebration there and 5.00 admission to the Yorktown which is normally 15.00!! Just thought I'd let you know!! Summer
